Dr. Langille and Dr. Tam first met when practicing together with a San Francisco eye surgeon. Since then, they have always respected each other’s professional and personal values. So, it was the most natural move for Dr. Tam to join Through the Hayes Optometry in June 2007. In May 2011, they made it official and are now business partners! After 10 years in solo practice, Dr. Langille is very grateful for the new-found energy and thoughtful input from Angela. With shared goals and like-minded focus on patient care, their partnership brings a great synergy to Through the Hayes Optometry.
Therese Langille, O.D.
Dr. Thérèse Langille graduated from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1990. She practiced in multiple settings in the Bay Area before she opened her own office at Through the Hayes Optometry in 2001. Therese loves working with children and has performed thousands of screenings on children’s eyes across the entire Bay Area. She has traveled to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines and Guatemala to do volunteer eyecare work with several organizations. She also believes strongly in giving back to the local community. Her latest passion is working with Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco. Therese’s green initiatives include sourcing local vendors and creating a paper-less office.
Angela Tam, O.D.
Dr. Angela Tam graduated from SUNY College of Optometry in New York. After completing a residency in ocular diseases and low vision rehabilitation, she returned to California and spent many years practicing in a busy ophthalmology clinic, treating glaucoma and taking care of pre- and post-operative patients. Angela has also done volunteer work with Hospital de la Familia in Guatemala and Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco. Every September, you will find her running (or walking) at Race For The Cure, a cause near and dear to her family.
