Our Doctors

Dr. Thérèse Langille graduated from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1990.  She practiced in multiple settings in the Bay Area before deciding to open her own office at Through the Hayes Optometry.  Therese loves working with children and has performed thousands of screenings on children's eyes across the entire Bay Area.  She has traveled to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines and Guatemala to do volunteer eyecare work.  She also believes strongly in giving back to the local community.  Her latest passion is working with Project Homeless Connect.

 

Dr. Angela Tam first met Dr. Langille when practicing together with a San Francisco eye surgeon.  Dr Tam graduated from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York and is a former Hayes Valley resident!  Besides completing a residency after graduation, she has had many years of experience working in a busy ophthalmology practice, treating glaucoma and taking care of pre- and post-operative cataract patients.   When she's not busy practicing optometry, she loves to golf, run and spend time with her husband and young son, Miles.  Angela has also done volunteer work with Hospital de la Familia in Guatemala.

In May 2011, Therese and Angela made it official - they are now business partners! After 10 years in solo practice, Dr Langille is very grateful for the new-found energy and thoughtful, hardworking input from Angela. With shared goals and like-minded focus on the utmost in patient care, their partnership brings a great synergy  to Through the Hayes!
